Never feed mealworms to hedgehogs!!

Mealworms are high in phosphorus and low in calcium. Mealworms cause Metabolic Bone Disease. This leads to the body drawing calcium from bones into the blood stream to balance out the low calcium levels. This movement of calcium leads to brittle bones and fractures and splaying.

Hedgehogs are lactose intolerant and is dangerous to feed hedgehogs milk.
